He's Proposed - Now What?

Congratulations on your engagement! This is the time of year for proposals, rings and then the excitement of organising your wedding. We have had so many enquiries to the wedding venues on our website, http://www.saweddingvenues.com/ since the beginning of the New Year that we know there are many of you who have been proposed to! In fact, this is the season!

Now the big question in your mind is "Where do I start?" One place to begin is to look through a venue web site such as http://www.saweddingvenues.com/ . The Venues are grouped according to type, so you can start to decide whether you want to have a bush, beach, city, country or a wedding in a faraway exotic location. If you email them all and get all their prices, wedding packages, menues, etc. your plans will start to focus and will become clearer on matters of price and what you can or cannot afford. The more popular venues are booked out a year in advance - more for some of the more popular dates, especially over the Christmas Holiday period, so it is important for you to start planning early.

At this stage you may want to enlist the help of a planner or co-ordinator to give you some advice and direction. Remember, this is what we do every day, so we are aware of the pitfalls you may encounter, as well as everything that has to be organised to make your day a massive success.

Many of the venues have their own co-ordinator and wedding package, so this could also make your life much easier. Many of them also have preferred service providers but obviously you are not under any obligation to use them.

Remember, it is YOUR day; not anyone else's, so you get to choose the venue and everything else. Your husband-to-be can spend this time planning the perfect honeymoon for you. For more ideas on this most special holiday, please look at www.saweddingvenues.com/honeymoons.aspx for some awesome options!

Good luck, and enjoy the journey!
